What hours are you open for business?
We are open 6 nights (closed Mon) from 5pm.

Do you offer takeout or delivery services?
Yes, you can place an order over the phone for pick-up or delivery or pop into the restaurant to order in person.

Are you open for public holidays?
Currently we do not open for public holidays.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Payment can be made via cash or card (over the phone card payments cannot be made for pickup), however, we do not accept payment via American Express.
At this time, only Credit or Debit card payments over the phone or payment via mobile eftpos are available for delivery payment (our drivers do not carry cash so we are unable to accept cash for deliveries).
Pompeii vouchers can also be used for payment. Please let our staff know if you wish to use a voucher for a delivery payment when placing the order.

Can we split the bill?
Items can be paid for individually or the total bill can be split (for example into 4 equal portions).
However, we are unable to split individual items (for example you cannot pay for 1/2 a pizza, 1/3 garlic bread and 1/4 cake).

Where do you deliver to?
We deliver to most areas within Palmerston North city limits excluding Massey University, IPU and some other far flung areas.
If you are not sure feel free to give us a call and ask.

Do you offer BYO?
We offer BYO/corkage on bottled wine only. This is charged at $7 for a bottle up to 750mL.
We allow a maximum of 1 bottle per person
Bottles must be unopened on arrival and must not be opened until they are sighted by a member of staff and ID has been checked where applicable.

Can we choose our own toppings for a pizza?
Yes, we can make a pizza from your selection of toppings (provided these are listed on our menu).
Note that pizzas with gourmet toppings will be charged at gourmet price, simpler toppings will be charged at classic price.
$13.90 pizzas can consist of only classic toppings and sauces (those available on our classic pizza range and bbq swirls)

Can we order half and half pizzas?
Yes, we are happy to make any combination but please note there is a $2.00 surcharge for half & half pizzas (available on Di Famiglia and Colossus only.)
Half and half options are not available on pizzas in our $13.90 pickup deal.

How are Pompeii's pizzas different?
We make fresh dough each day and our pizzas are made from scratch for your order using only raw ingredients and garnished with fresh cut parsley.
We do not use pre-mixes or premade bases (except our gluten-free bases) and use fresh local produce wherever possible. Our selection of pizzas are unique, tried and true.
We believe our pizzas are a cut above the rest and can be enjoyed in a friendly and relaxing restaurant environment. All for a reasonable price!

What meal options do you offer for vegetarians?
We have a selection of menu items which are vegetarian by default and we can make nearly any other pizza vegetarian if requested.

What meal options do you offer for vegans?
We have a range of pizzas which can be easily made vegan (these are available to order from our vegan menu).
Please ensure you advise your server if you are ordering off the vegan menu.
Other pizzas can be adapted to suit your requirements and dairy free cheese can also be added to any pizza.

Do you offer gluten free pizza bases?
We offer one size of gluten free base which is roughly the size of our bambino pizza and costs an additional $2.50.
Note that although we have procedures in place, there is always a risk of cross contamination.
Let our waitstaff know your dietary requirements when ordering or give us a call to discuss.

Do you offer gluten free pizza bases on takeaway deals?
Technically only deal 4, which contains a bambino pizza can be easily upgraded to gluten free (with the addition of the $2.50 GF base surcharge).
However, our staff will automatically opt for any deal which saves you money, regardless of whether this usually contains a bambino or Di Famiglia pizza.
This includes our $13.90 pick-up deal.
However, please note there is still a $2.50 surcharge per GF base.
As an example, the $13.90 deal would cost $16.40 for a classic pizza on a GF base, instead of $22.40 (for a bambino classic plus the surcharge); saving you $6.
A deal 1 with 2 GF pizzas would cost you $43 for classics or $53 for Gourmets; saving you $1.80.
A deal 2 with all bases GF (2 pizzas + 1 Garlic bread + 1 Fries), would cost you $52.50 for classics or $62.50 for Gourmets; saving you $7.80.
You can also mix and match, for example in our deal 1 or 2, with one pizza as a regular Di Famiglia and one GF (GF base surcharge will still apply).

Are any of your meals gluten free?
As well as our gluten free pizza bases we have a vegetarian lasagne option available, which contains no gluten.
Our Tuscan chicken and Beef Schnitzel Parmigiana can also be made without gluten for dine-in customers.
Please note that there is always a risk of cross contamination and it is therefore important to ensure you advise our waitstaff if you have Coeliac Disease or are
gluten intolerant so that we can endeavor to minimise these risks.
Although we only have one deep fryer, this is used solely for our fries which contain no gluten.
One of the businesses owners has Coeliac Disease, and has been in charge of setting up procedures to minimise contamination risk.
